WREC, also known as Wells Rural Electric Company, is a member-owned and non-profit cooperative that offers electrical service in Northeastern Nevada and part of Tooele County in Utah. With over 1,400 miles of power line coverage, WREC serves an area of more than 10,000 square miles. Founded in 1958, WREC was established to bring central station power to rural areas around Wells.
