## Description

Established in 2002, Writing Forums is an online creative writing community where authors and poets develop their craft through discussion, shared work, and constructive feedback. The site welcomes writers at different stages and brings together members who publish independently or traditionally. Its discussion forums support conversation about writing, while dedicated workshops give members a place to share work and receive thoughtful responses.

Writing Forums also offers regular creative challenges and competitions, including fiction, poetry, and short-story prompts. Events such as Literary Maneuvers, Story Frenzy, and the monthly Poetry Challenge encourage members to experiment with themes, forms, and deadlines. Some contests offer profile badges and opportunities to enter larger competitions, including one with cash prizes.

Beyond the forums and challenges, members can explore writing resources and reviews, read and contribute to blogs, and use a word counter to check story length. The site also features a bookstore and accepts donations. With more than 1.3 million posts and 100,000 discussions, Writing Forums is built around ongoing conversation, practical feedback, and shared creative growth.
