## Description

The Wiltshire & Swindon History Centre is a public heritage and research centre serving people interested in the history of Wiltshire and Swindon. It brings together archival collections and local studies resources, alongside specialist services that support the care and understanding of the area’s historic environment. Its services include Wiltshire and Swindon Archives, local studies, archaeology, education, the Conservation and Museums Advisory Service, Stonehenge Prints and the Wiltshire Buildings Record. Visitors can explore collections in the search room, consult the online archive catalogue and seek help from staff with research enquiries. The centre also presents exhibitions and projects, shares news and articles through its blog, and offers learning opportunities. Located on Cocklebury Road in Chippenham, it welcomes visitors on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays, as well as the first Saturday of each month; advance booking for archive and local studies visits is advised. The centre provides a welcoming starting point for discovering local records, buildings and stories.
