## Description

WSKF Perth provides World Shotokan Karate training for children and adults across the Perth metropolitan area, with clubs in Baldivis, Mandurah and Mirrabooka. Its junior programme serves children aged 6 to 13 and follows a structured syllabus designed to build physical and mental readiness, confidence in self-defence, and the ability to help protect others. Classes incorporate games to make training engaging while supporting skill development.

The organisation is affiliated with WSKF Japan, whose international network includes members in 92 countries, and its training standards and styles are linked to Japan. Members can take part in updated seminars led by WSKF’s Chief Instructor, 9th Dan Sensei Hitoshi Kasuya, and have the option of travelling to Japan for the federation’s World Championships, held every two years.

WSKF Perth is a member of the Australian Karate Federation, Australia’s national governing body for karate. Its instructors hold Working with Children clearances, current state and federal police clearances, and current senior first aid certification. Documentation is available to the public on request.
