## Description

Weston-super-Mare Swimming Club is a community aquatics organisation established in 1880. With a history of producing Olympians and international competitors in swimming and water polo, the club supports participants across ages and abilities through coached programmes and team activities. Its swimming pathway helps young athletes develop fundamental training and racing skills and pursue opportunities at local, regional, national and international levels. Coaching and support staff guide age-group and youth squads, alongside access to swimming and land-conditioning facilities. The club also offers an active Masters section for adults over 18, ranging from fitness swimming to competition, with an emphasis on enjoyment.

Its water polo section includes mini, junior and senior teams. Members can take part in regular training featuring ball skills, tactics and shooting, while senior teams compete in the Bristol & West Water Polo League and at county and regional events. Weston-super-Mare Swimming Club aims to nurture talent, resilience and sporting potential in a supportive environment, while helping young people build teamwork, leadership and commitment.
