## Description

The World Ski & Snowboard Festival (WSSF) is an annual celebration of snow sports and mountain culture held in Whistler, British Columbia. Founded in 1996, the festival welcomes skiers, snowboarders, artists, filmmakers, musicians, visitors and local community members for a week of events marking the arrival of spring. Its 2026 edition celebrates 30 years and is scheduled for April 6–12.

WSSF combines athletic competition with creative expression and social gatherings. Sports programming includes The Pipe, featuring halfpipe sessions; The Grind, a street-style ski and snowboard competition; Safety Shred Days, which promote awareness and safe riding; and the playful Slush Cup. The festival also presents music events, film and art activities, community programming, après gatherings and the 72 Hour Intersection. Expo Days bring partner brands to Whistler’s village, where visitors can discover gear, products and experiences. Through its diverse events and partnerships, WSSF showcases Whistler’s mountain culture and celebrates the people who contribute to it.
