## Description

The Historischer Verein für Württembergisch Franken e.V. is a historical society founded in 1847 to promote research into the history, art, and culture of Württembergisch Franken, a region with a distinctive cultural heritage. Its work also supports education and helps preserve and share knowledge of the area. The society’s publications are central to its activities, especially its yearbooks, which provide authors with a platform for historical research, discoveries, and stories. It also offers a digital publication series and material on local and regional history, and welcomes publication proposals. Members and the wider public can take part in regional events, including guided tours, talks, and discussions that bring local history to life. The society’s extensive library, located at the Stadtarchiv in Schwäbisch Hall, is free for interested visitors to use. Significant objects from its collection can be viewed at the Hällisch-Fränkisches Museum in Schwäbisch Hall, where they are on permanent display with free admission. Through publications, collections, and public programs, the society connects people with the region’s past.
