## Description

Western Upper Peninsula Health Department (WUPHD) is a public health organization serving communities in Michigan’s western Upper Peninsula. Its work focuses on promoting health, preventing disease and injury, and protecting the public and environment through education, inspections, consultation, planning, and emergency preparedness.

WUPHD’s environmental health services include food establishment inspections and training, foodborne illness investigations, septic system and water well permits and inspections, beach monitoring, radon information, pool and spa inspections, and programs addressing PFAS, harmful algae blooms, and other environmental concerns.
