## Description

WW2 RAF Project is a free memorial and research database dedicated to the Royal Air Force and Commonwealth air forces during the Second World War. It brings together records of service members, squadrons and units, groups, airfields, aircraft, operations, awards, prisoners of war and cemeteries, with entries cross-linked to help visitors explore connections and trace individual histories. Users can search by name or service number, consult a roll of honour, and browse information about the people and events of the wartime air forces. The site also provides a map, recommended books and opportunities to contribute photographs or documents, or report incorrect or missing information for review. Its stated aim is to remember those who served and help make their records whole. The database presents its scale through counts of service members, units, operations, airfields and cemeteries, and highlights those who died on the current calendar date during the war. WW2 RAF Project serves family researchers, historians and anyone seeking to learn about wartime RAF and Commonwealth air force personnel.
