## Description

WW2 Roll of Honour is an informative online platform dedicated to exploring the impact of World War II on the town of Hastings and St Leonards. The site honors the civilians and service personnel from the area who lost their lives during the conflict, offering a detailed account of their stories alongside the events that shaped their experiences. It includes comprehensive information on the German bombing raids that affected the region from 1939 to 1945, supported by historical photographs showcasing significant locations in Hastings. Created by Kieron Pelling, who previously developed the WW1 Roll of Honour website featuring over 5,300 images of local veterans from the First World War, this project aims to serve as a permanent online memorial and a valuable research resource. WW2 Roll of Honour seeks to provide an accurate record of individuals, events, and locations, drawing from reputable sources, including reference books and the Commonwealth War Graves Commission.
