## Description

WWF Napoli is the Naples-based chapter of WWF, the international conservation organisation represented in Italy by WWF Italia. Its story began in 1966, when Fulco Pratesi and a group of volunteers established WWF Italia; the local group grew from people passionate about nature and concerned for the planet. WWF Napoli works to promote a world in which people live in harmony with nature, combining public awareness, environmental education and local conservation activity.

The organisation shares news and commentary on issues including sustainability, climate and ecosystems, urban development, and the prevention of hydrogeological disasters. Its activities include educational initiatives, such as nature classrooms and agricultural learning projects, as well as courses and events for the public. Visitors can also explore WWF oases and learn about the natural areas the organisation highlights. WWF Napoli provides updates through its PandaNews section, blog and newsletter, and invites supporters to participate in its initiatives. Based in Naples, it is part of WWF Italia ETS and connects local communities with broader efforts to protect nature and encourage more sustainable choices.
