# WWF SASSI - **Website:** - **Primary alias:** `wwfsassi.co.za` ## Description WWF-SASSI, the World Wildlife Fund’s Southern African Sustainable Seafood Initiative, is dedicated to promoting responsible fishing and farming practices to safeguard our oceans and heritage. Addressing the pressing issue of unsustainable fishing, WWF-SASSI empowers consumers and businesses to make informed seafood choices that protect marine ecosystems. Their resources include a comprehensive SASSI list, seafood solutions, and partnerships with chefs, schools, and community champions to foster sustainable seafood recipes and practices. As South Africa’s oceans face significant threats from overfishing, habitat destruction, and climate change, WWF-SASSI emphasizes the importance of marine protected areas (MPAs) and advocates for healthier marine ecosystems to ensure fish populations can recover. The initiative invites seafood lovers and the general public to join a movement focused on environmental awareness and conservation, reaffirming the role of sustainable practices in preserving the cultural, economic, and ecological significance of our oceans for future generations. Together, we can combat the challenges facing our seas and contribute to a more resilient marine environment. ## Industries - 🎗 Community and Society - 🎗 Philanthropy _(under Community and Society)_ - 🧪 Science and Education - 🧪 Environmental Science _(under Science and Education)_ ## Links - [facebook](https://facebook.com/WWFSASSI) - [instagram](https://instagram.com/wwfsassi) ## Logos & icons - logo _(primary)_ — PNG, SVG — [download](https://cdn.brandfetch.io/idC1BqoxhO/w/820/h/521/theme/dark/logo.png?c=1bxid64Mup7aczewSAYMX&t=1776564062999) - icon _(primary)_ — JPEG — [download](https://cdn.brandfetch.io/idC1BqoxhO/w/596/h/596/theme/dark/icon.jpeg?c=1bxid64Mup7aczewSAYMX&t=1776564063132) ## Colors | Name | Hex | Theme | | --- | --- | --- | | Olive Drab | #71a423 | accent | | Cello | #1e2e5c | dark | | Malibu | #95d7f9 | light | ## Fonts - var( --e-global-typography-f71257e-font-family ) — asset _(custom)_ - -apple-system — asset _(system)_ --- _Source: _ _See [/llms.txt](/llms.txt) for a full list of agent-readable pages, and [/auth.md](/auth.md) for how agents authenticate._
