## Description

WxCoder is the official web-based entry system for the National Weather Service (NWS) Cooperative Observer Program (COOP). It offers a convenient platform for COOP volunteers to enter daily weather records. By combining with IV-ROCS, the telephone entry system, WxCoder ensures seamless data submission for weather observations. Sponsored by the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) through the National Weather Service, the Regional Climate Center Program, and the National Climatic Data Center, WxCoder serves as a vital tool for the COOP community. COOP comprises thousands of dedicated volunteers who diligently observe and record weather data in diverse locations, including farms, urban and suburban areas, National Parks, seashores, and mountaintops. The collected data truly represents where people live, work, and play. Since 1890, COOP has been instrumental in providing observational meteorological data, such as daily maximum and minimum temperatures, snowfall, and 24-hour precipitation totals. This information plays a crucial role in defining the climate of the United States and supporting forecast, warning, and other public service programs of the NWS. Join WxCoder today to contribute your valuable weather observations and help measure long-term climate changes. Log in to report your daily observations and become an integral part of the National Weather Service's efforts. Experience the power of accurate data at your fingertips.
