## Description

XLab Robotics develops uncertainty-aware autonomy for robots operating in environments where conditions change and information is incomplete. Its hardware-agnostic robot brain is designed to perceive shifts, update its understanding from new sensory evidence, adapt in real time, and recover when tasks or surroundings move beyond training conditions. The company applies this shared intelligence layer through four industry-specific platforms. Forge supports manufacturing, inspection, maintenance, and material handling. Food focuses on perception and control for variable crops, irregular objects, and seasonal environments. Mine addresses remote inspection, extraction, navigation, and other high-risk operations in low-visibility settings. Space develops systems intended to reason, act, and recover beyond direct human control, including when communication is delayed. XLab’s approach emphasizes active exploration and decision-making under uncertainty rather than rigid policies or separate reward rules for every failure mode. The company also shares research on Active Inference, planning, and related methods. Its team brings experience in robotics engineering, computational neuroscience, Bayesian inference, control theory, and field deployment.
