## Description

XMVP (eXchange Minimal Viable Project) is a browser-based service for collaborating on code and sharing files through a single room link. Users can create a room without an email address or password, then work together in a shared editor where changes and collaborators’ cursors appear in real time. Rooms also support whole folders, preserve directory structure, and let users download individual files or the complete room as an archive.

Temporary rooms remain available while someone is present. Once everyone leaves, a ten-minute countdown begins; if nobody returns, the editor text and files are deleted. Users with an account can create up to five permanent rooms, protect rooms with a password, save version snapshots, and restore earlier versions. Accounts use a 12-word secret phrase rather than a conventional password.

XMVP also provides an open API for accounts, rooms, versions, and tokens. Files transfer in 256 KB chunks, with a maximum size of 1 GB per file.
