## Description

Serving Danish and Scandinavian family-history researchers since 2007, it is used by thousands of people and is designed to make family information accessible through a straightforward web interface. Users can start for free, create an account without providing card details, and expand their tree generation by generation. An upgrade is available for those who want additional features.

Each person’s profile can bring together photographs, dated events and sources, family relationships, maps, media files, and anecdotes. Users can collaborate by sharing a tree for editing or viewing, and access the platform on a computer, tablet, or mobile device without installing software. GEDCOM import and export supports compatibility with other genealogy programs, while daily backups and data export help users retain control of their information.

Developed by genealogy enthusiasts and improved through user feedback, dinSlægt also offers resources including a glossary, church holidays, help, published family trees, and user reports.
