## Description

Ærø Litteraturfestival is a literary and cultural festival on the Danish island of Ærø, bringing together writers, musicians and speakers for two days of readings, performances and discussion. Its 2026 edition takes place on 12–13 September, with a programme designed to spark ideas and emotions. Featured authors and artists include Kim Leine, Christina Hesselholdt, Caspar Eric, Sigrid Adamsson, Annette Bjergfeldt, Harald Haugaard, Helene Blum and others. The festival also offers a dedicated programme for children and young people, developed with Ærø Library and Creutz Bookshop. At Søbygaard, young participants can join creative workshops, including comic-making with Tatiana Goldberg and fantasy writing with Barbara Beatrice Davidsen, alongside lively storytelling and activities. The children’s programme runs during the day, and admission tickets are available at the door at Søbygaard. Festival information, programme details, news and ticket guidance are provided through the organisers’ website. By combining literature, music, conversation and hands-on creative experiences, Ærø Litteraturfestival welcomes audiences of different ages to explore stories and ideas together.
