## Description

Brightline West is a planned all-electric, high-speed passenger rail service designed to connect Las Vegas with Southern California and offer an alternative to driving along a congested corridor. The project will build on Brightline’s experience operating intercity passenger trains in Florida, where its stations serve Miami, Aventura, Fort Lauderdale, Boca Raton, West Palm Beach, and Orlando. Brightline describes its approach as guest-first, modern, and eco-friendly, with the broader goal of connecting city pairs that are too close to fly and too far to drive comfortably.

The 218-mile Brightline West route is planned to include a flagship station in Las Vegas and additional stations in Apple Valley, Hesperia, and Rancho Cucamonga. Trains are expected to reach speeds of up to 200 miles per hour, with travel from Las Vegas to Rancho Cucamonga estimated at about two hours. The Southern California station will connect with regional Metrolink service for onward travel toward downtown Los Angeles and beyond.
