## Description

XRPL Meta is a decentralized data service for assets on the XRP Ledger, providing token and NFT metadata that is not available through the standard rippled API. It connects to multiple rippled nodes, tracks ledger updates in real time, and makes information accessible through JSON REST and WebSocket APIs. The service offers token details such as icons, names, descriptions, links, KYC status, trust levels, market activity, supply, trustlines, and warnings about scams or spam. It also provides ledger data, including index lookups by time, fees, transaction counts, and historical statistics. Developers can request data over HTTP or use WebSocket connections for frequent or high-volume access, with methods documented in the API guides. XRPL Meta assigns tokens trust levels based on identity checks and reviews by trusted token-list publishers, whose lists follow the XLS-26 standard. Its data is used by XRPL applications, wallets, explorers, trading platforms, and analytics services. The project is created and maintained by Marc-Emanuel Otto, and token issuers can learn how to submit assets for listing.
