## Description

XVII.es is an independent Spanish-language platform devoted primarily to the history and art of the seventeenth century in the Hispanic world, particularly during the reigns of Philip IV and Charles II. It presents itself as a scientific outreach journal, publishing original research and articles on subjects including Baroque art, politics, literature, religion, architecture, science, and cultural heritage. The site also invites researchers to submit unpublished work prepared using scientific methods and welcomes collaboration and sponsorship.

Beyond its journal and articles, XVII.es offers a digital museum featuring objects from the seventeenth century and related periods, with examples of sculpture, painting, silverwork, prints, and other historical arts. Its resources include a catalogue, an automated cataloguing and valuation tool, a research portal, a chronology, a library, and book reviews. Visitors can also find news and information about exhibitions and other topics relevant to historical and artistic study. Through these publications and practical resources, the platform aims to support research, share cultural knowledge, and make material about the period accessible to a wider audience.
