## Description

YachayWiki is a collaborative platform founded in Arequipa, Peru, to strengthen the presence of Quechua in the digital world. Working with Quechua speakers from Cusco, Arequipa, Ayacucho, and Puno, it builds a digital language corpus intended to enrich artificial intelligence models and support greater linguistic inclusion. The project addresses the limited representation of Quechua online, which can leave speakers with inaccurate or unavailable responses when using AI in their language.

YachayWiki offers audio recordings and written materials, including stories, vocabulary, and expressions. Its audio resources feature narratives told by native Quechua speakers, available through a 15-track, 43-minute collection on YouTube Music. The YachayWiki YouTube channel also provides videos and educational resources. Quechua speakers can contribute words, stories, and expressions to help grow the corpus, while the platform welcomes partnerships with institutions. By bringing together community contributions and accessible language resources, YachayWiki works to make Quechua more visible and useful across digital tools and media.
