## Description

Yak&Brew helps people explore Himalayan brewing traditions at home with do-it-yourself kits for Tongba and Chhaang, two traditional drinks associated with Nepal and the wider Himalayan region. Founded by Dawa, who grew up sharing Tongba during festivals and cold evenings in Nepal, Darjeeling, and Sikkim, the brand aims to make this cultural tradition accessible to home brewers.

Each kit includes measured Himalayan grain, a Murcha Style fermentation starter, and a fermentation bag; brewing equipment is available in a Tongba set that also includes a vessel. The kits are designed for beginners: prepare the grain, mix in the starter, and let it ferment for a few weeks. To serve Tongba, add hot water and sip through the included Pipsing straw, refilling several times.

Yak&Brew packs its kits in Raleigh, North Carolina, using ingredients sourced from Nepal and India. It ships across the United States and to international destinations, and offers brewing guides, recipes, and educational information about Tongba, Chhaang, and Murcha.
