Yakima Valley Community Foundation is a brand dedicated to improving healthcare access and strengthening communities in Yakima Valley. Established in 2003, our mission began with a focus on healthcare, but as our understanding of our community expanded, so did our philanthropic efforts. Today, we have three primary areas of focus: Quality Education, Health & Well-being, and Civic Vitality.

As a community foundation, we are a tax-exempt public charity that brings together individuals and organizations who want to make a difference in our region. We listen to our community and work collaboratively to understand their needs and find community-based solutions. Our approach is centered on equity and justice, striving to create opportunities for all.

Located in the heart of rural Central Washington, Yakima Valley is a place of rich natural resources and diverse cultures. However, historical disparities and inequities have developed over time, impacting access to opportunities and contributing to divisions within our community. Through our leadership, support, and funding, we aim to address these challenges and create positive and lasting change.
