## Description

Yakkerboo Festival is a community event in Pakenham, Australia, that has brought local people together since 1976. Held each year to celebrate the birthday of Mr Yakkerboo, a mythical Pakenham icon, the festival offers a family-friendly way to enjoy the community and its traditions. Entry is free, helping keep the event accessible to local residents and visitors.

The two-day program features a parade, carnival rides, a petting zoo, market stalls, food trucks, stage performances and fireworks. For visitors who want to enjoy the rides, the festival also offers an unlimited-ride wristband for a scheduled Sunday session; advance purchase details are announced through the festival website. Yakkerboo publishes event information, parade details, entry forms, frequently asked questions and photo galleries from past festivals. The event is supported by sponsors and volunteers, whom the festival describes as central to its success. Businesses interested in supporting a future festival can contact the organisers about sponsorship. Overall, Yakkerboo combines entertainment, local participation and long-running community celebration.
