## Description

Yamagawa Budo is an official branch of Fudoshin Ryu, a multidisciplinary Japanese martial arts system founded by Robert Lawrence in 1968. The Yamagawa branch was established by Darren Ball after 32 years of apprenticeship under his father, Tony Ball. Following his achievement of Fudoshin Master, 5th Dan, and the title of Shihan, Darren created the organisation to teach traditional Budo in a modern format, with an emphasis on martial skills, philosophy, and personal development.

Training is based in Seaford, Victoria, Australia, at the Seaford Community Centre. Fudoshin Ryu brings together elements of Judo, Jujutsu, Karate, Aikido, weapons training, and other fighting arts in an integrated approach to combat and self-defence. Students explore different disciplines while developing a broad understanding of martial movement and applied philosophy.

Yamagawa Budo also offers courses, workshops, and seminars in traditional Japanese Budo across Australia and internationally in Japan. The organisation provides introductory information for beginners and shares class details, news, events, and updates about its training activities.
