## Description

Yankee Flying Club is a member-owned flying club based at Crystal Airport (KMIC) in Crystal, Minnesota. Established in 1968, the club has 65 shareholders and a fleet of four aircraft: two Cessna 172s and two Cessna 182RGs. Membership is open to student and experienced pilots, subject to aircraft-specific insurance requirements and a checkout with a club instructor. The club’s aircraft are equipped with modern Garmin avionics and are rented to members at wet, tach-based rates.

Members become shareholders and co-owners, with shares offered periodically at prices set by sellers and market conditions. Monthly dues help cover fixed expenses such as insurance, hangar costs, and annual maintenance. FlightCircle is used to manage aircraft reservations and help members schedule flights fairly. Beyond flying, Yankee Flying Club offers a community for pilots to connect: members meet monthly for club business, arrange seasonal plane washes, and often fly together to meals and events. An annual dinner brings members together for food, photo shows, and door prizes.
