Yassmin Abdel-Magied is a Sudanese diaspora writer, broadcaster, and award-winning social advocate. With a background in mechanical engineering, Yassmin has evolved into a prolific author, publishing four books and writing two plays. She is currently involved in various screen projects.

Through her works of fiction and non-fiction, Yassmin delves into the intricate dynamics of power in politics, culture, and technology. Her ability to analyze systemic challenges and reframe established narratives makes complex ideas accessible to all. Yassmin is not only an acclaimed writer but also an exceptional speaker and sought-after advisor on diversity and inclusive leadership.

With her captivating keynotes and workshops, she has traveled to 25 countries, delivering talks in Arabic, English, and French. Yassmin's advocacy began at a young age when she founded her first organization, Youth Without Borders, at just 16 years old. She has since co-founded two other organizations dedicated to serving women of color.

Currently, Yassmin serves as a Trustee of the London Library and is a member of the Executive Committee of the Black Writers Guild. Her TED talk, recognized as one of TED's top 10 ideas, has garnered over 2. 5 million views.
