Yates Precision Manufacturing (YPM) is a brand based in Southwestern Pennsylvania and owned by Jake and Ashley Yates. Established in June 2017, YPM originally started as a contract manufacturing shop. However, the brand took an unexpected turn when Jake's father gifted him a safety razor in the fall of 2018.

Curious about the product, Jake researched and embarked on designing his own safety razor with the initial plan of making a few for friends and family. As he shared his progress on social media, interest grew rapidly. This led to the creation of the popular Model 921-M razor, which became the brand's flagship product.

The name 921 holds a special meaning as it represents the birthdates of Jake and Ashley's sons, Landon and Lincoln, who were both born on September 21st. YPM offers a range of products including custom safety razors, razor stands, shaving soaps, and more.
