## Description

Yayasan Desa Hijau is an Indonesian philanthropic and community empowerment organization working to build healthy, educated, environmentally friendly, and self-reliant communities. It manages zakat, donations, charitable giving, waqf, and other social funds to support sustainable programs, guided by principles of compassion, accountability, and trust. Its work is organized around five pillars: environmental preservation, education, sustainable economic development, health, and social and cultural strengthening. The foundation offers several ways to contribute, including sedekah, zakat maal, zakat fitrah, fidyah, waqf, general donations, and qurban. Its waqf initiatives include distributing Qurans and Braille Qurans, as well as supporting bore wells that provide clean water for pesantren and communities with limited access. The foundation also established Rumah Bahagia Yatim Indonesia in Kepahiang, Bengkulu, a center supporting orphaned and underprivileged children through Qur’anic values and personal development. Based in South Tangerang, Yayasan Desa Hijau invites individuals to help create lasting benefits for communities across Indonesia.
