## Description

The Yoga and Body Image Coalition (YBIC) is a community-focused organization dedicated to body love and making yoga accessible, body positive, and representative of human diversity. It promotes yoga as a practice that can support personal transformation while also addressing the social and cultural forces that shape body image. Through advocacy, education, and community-building, YBIC challenges yoga industry leaders and media creators to broaden their ideas about who practices yoga and what a yogi looks like.

YBIC shares resources through its blog, podcasts, events, and publications, including the books Yoga and Body Image and Yoga Rising. These collections bring together personal stories exploring yoga, self-acceptance, and body image across experiences of race, ethnicity, sexuality, gender, disability, age, socioeconomic status, and body size. The coalition also highlights community initiatives and hosts or promotes events focused on diversity, inclusion, and accessibility in yoga and fitness spaces. Its “#whatayogilookslike” campaign encourages people to challenge stereotypes, and supporters can purchase branded T-shirts, tanks, and hoodies.
