## Description

Youth Development Initiative Trust (YDIT) is a youth-led, nonprofit, non-governmental organization focused on creating positive change for young people, families, and communities. It aims to empower vulnerable and marginalized people and draws on the creativity and ideas of its youthful team to support community-led development in Zimbabwe.

YDIT’s programmes address climate change and sustainable livelihoods, sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR), mining and extraction, and disability inclusion. Its work includes youth-led SRHR education and advocacy, peer educator training, and efforts to improve access to health information and services for persons with disabilities. The organization also engages communities and duty bearers, supports advocacy initiatives, and brings together partners to explore practical responses to local challenges.

In sustainable livelihoods and conservation, YDIT has supported women in Arda Transau through semi-intensive fish farming and community-based conservation activities. Its projects and partnerships include initiatives associated with AMPLIFY CHANGE, UNDP-GEF Small Grants Programme, Global Green Grants, and HER VOICE.
