Established in 2020 within Yekmal e.V., it became a nonprofit limited liability company in 2024. The Akademie promotes inclusive education, equal opportunity, cultural diversity and collaboration, using transdisciplinary perspectives and methods in its research and professional work. Its services include Kurdish language courses for children, young people and adults at levels aligned with the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages, as well as TESTKURD language examinations and certification.
