## Description

YES on Prop 38 is a California campaign supporting the Immunology Medical Research & Cures Initiative, a measure proposed for the November 2026 ballot. The campaign advocates public investment in immunology and immunotherapy research aimed at preventing and treating serious diseases, including cancer, Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s and heart disease. It explains the measure, shares patient stories and supporter statements, and invites individuals and organizations to join its coalition, share their experiences and take action.

According to the campaign, funding would go to qualified California-based nonprofit universities and research institutions, supporting research and clinical trial infrastructure and collaboration among scientists and physicians. The initiative also proposes that treatments and cures developed with its funding be offered to California patients at least 20% below the national average price. Its stated provisions include public spending disclosures, independent financial audits, conflict-of-interest rules and a cap on administrative costs. The campaign says licensing proceeds would help repay the bond, including interest, and presents the measure as a way to advance research while improving access to future therapies.
