## Description

Yiddish Sources is an online portal for people interested in the Yiddish language and Yiddish Studies. Part of the WWW Virtual Library History Central Catalogue, the site is maintained by Gerben Zaagsma and organizes resources into three main areas: events, reference, and research. Its listings help visitors discover conferences, seminars, courses and workshops, exhibitions, and other past or upcoming events, alongside institutions, archives, libraries, associations, and learning resources. The portal also points users to mailing lists, internet portals, media, Yiddish computing resources, and antiquariats, with browsing options by country and city. Research materials include dictionaries, journals, online catalogues, archival inventories, and digital Yiddish sources. Yiddish Sources is a work in progress, with content added over time. Visitors can keep informed through email updates, RSS feeds, and Twitter. The site also shares news and announcements related to Yiddish language and culture, including courses, collections, and online dictionaries. Its stated update from February 2020 notes that the site was due for a technical upgrade, so some information may need refreshing.
