With a focus on critical creativity, our decolonial curriculum and activities equip young people with the skills to address social and ecological challenges in our region. We offer ongoing courses and activities to nurture their talents and boost their social awareness. In collaboration with Alkebu Film Productions, we organize the annual Ishango Encounter, a platform for showcasing the talent of young filmmakers. This event, formerly known as the Salaam Kivu International Film Festival, brings together aspiring filmmakers who exchange ideas and showcase their work to a wider audience. In response to the recent volcanic eruption in May 2021, Yole!Africa initiated the Yole! Farm project. This agroliberation initiative aims to support communities affected by the disaster and promote sustainable agriculture practices.
