# The Yonkofa Project - **Website:** - **Primary alias:** `yonkofa.org` ## Description The Yonkofa Project is an all-volunteer nonprofit organization working to make sustainable healthcare more accessible in rural communities in Ghana, West Africa. It operates medical centers and clinics staffed by full-time local healthcare providers, helping families receive care closer to home. The organization supports Ghanaian medical professionals by providing safe facilities, essential medical supplies, and continuing professional development, including equipment training, clinical refresher courses, and epidemiological updates. Yonkofa clinics are built with community participation on land donated by local people. They also provide employment and permanent housing for healthcare providers, enabling them to serve their own villages. The project’s work aims to strengthen preventive care and improve the delivery of treatment in areas where healthcare facilities and resources may be difficult to reach. Alongside its clinic work, Yonkofa lists community initiatives such as a Keep Girls in School campaign, nurses’ housing, a public library, a science lab, and school enrichment programs. Donations help equip healthcare providers and support the organization’s healthcare work in Ghana. ## Industries - 🎗 Community and Society - 🎗 Philanthropy _(under Community and Society)_ - ⛑ Health - ⛑ Public Health and Safety _(under Health)_ ## Links - [facebook](https://facebook.com/yonkofa) ## Logos & icons - logo _(primary)_ — PNG — [download](https://cdn.brandfetch.io/idecoJDWN0/w/1500/h/179/theme/dark/logo.png?c=1bxid64Mup7aczewSAYMX&t=1792812718748) - icon _(primary)_ — JPEG — [download](https://cdn.brandfetch.io/idecoJDWN0/w/750/h/750/theme/dark/icon.jpeg?c=1bxid64Mup7aczewSAYMX&t=1792812718883) ## Colors | Name | Hex | Theme | | --- | --- | --- | | Scampi | #5755aa | accent | | Bronze | #402109 | dark | | Rajah | #f7c76f | light | ## Fonts - Varela Round — asset _(google)_ - Georgia — asset _(custom)_ --- _Source: _ _See [/llms.txt](/llms.txt) for a full list of agent-readable pages, and [/auth.md](/auth.md) for how agents authenticate._
