Founded to showcase the talents of local musicians and explore the rich repertoire of 19th and 20th-century symphonic music, the orchestra is celebrated for its high-caliber performances. Under the musical direction of Simon Wright since 1992, the ensemble has gained recognition for its engaging concerts, which range from traditional symphonic works to innovative programs featuring film music and world premieres.
