Youth Impact is a grassroots, youth-led movement based in Botswana that aims to connect young people with life-saving information. Their mission is to identify, adapt, and scale-up health and education programs specifically designed for young people. Working closely with government institutions, they have developed evidence-based curricula by combing through academic papers, extracting the theory of change behind proven social impact, and seeking feedback from experts in the field.

The final step in their translation process involves training peer facilitators who deliver the evidence-based messages to schools throughout Eastern and Southern Africa. One of the key principles of Youth Impact is ensuring that these important topics are taught by youth, for youth. They firmly believe that old officials cannot effectively teach young people about sensitive subjects like sex and stigmatized topics, as they are not relatable or impactful.

As a result, Youth Impact ensures that the messages they deliver are not only based on research, but also delivered in a way that resonates with their target audience
