## Description

Altrincham and District Festival is a community event organised by local volunteers and presented as the biggest free show in Trafford. Held in July, the festival brings residents and visitors together for a weekend of entertainment, food and activities, with a grand parade and a showground programme. Its events are open to the public, and entry to the parade is free.

The festival’s showground features a live talent and music stage, a fun fair, stalls, a food village and a licensed bar area. Other attractions have included a dog show and a Sunday car boot sale. The Grand Parade features participants such as marching bands and floats, and organisers provide booking forms for entries. Stalls are available to charity, not-for-profit and commercial exhibitors, with early booking encouraged.

The festival also welcomes performers interested in appearing on its stage and seeks volunteers to help with planning and event-day duties, including marshalling. Information for visitors and participants includes event details, maps, directions, stall-holder guidance and booking forms.
