## Description

American YouthWorks (AYW) is a transformative nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering young people through education, vocational training, and community service. Established in 1975, AYW offers two primary programs: YouthBuild and the Texas Conservation Corps (TXCC). The YouthBuild program allows students to earn their GEDs or high school diplomas while gaining valuable skills in healthcare, IT, and construction fields. Our Conservation Corps trains young people to become environmental stewards, conserving landscapes and responding to natural disasters across the Central Southern United States.

With a strong focus on holistic development, AYW connects participants to essential support services, ensuring they achieve academic success and career readiness. Our mission is to build strong communities and positive change through actionable service, making a lasting impact on the lives of youth. At American YouthWorks, we believe in fostering the potential of every young individual, helping them to become empowered, employed, and engaged citizens who can significantly contribute to their communities.
