## Description

Youth Faith Exploration is a Catholic youth ministry connected with the Mariakerk community in Hoogvliet, Rotterdam. It invites children, teenagers, young adults, and their families to explore faith together, describing faith as a lifelong journey shared with God and fellow travellers. Its programs are organized for three age groups: Youth Faith Exploration Kids for ages 4–11, Teens for ages 12–17, and YoungAdult for ages 18–30. Activities include children’s and teenagers’ choir rehearsals, children’s liturgy during Sunday Mass, and gatherings for teenagers. The children’s liturgy presents the day’s Gospel in age-appropriate language and may include themed puzzles and crafts. The ministry also hosts seasonal and special activities, such as preparing for Easter, family events, and programs shaped around annual themes. Recent activities have drawn inspiration from Saint Carlo Acutis and the theme “Miracles and Wonder.” Youth Faith Exploration welcomes children and young people from the parish and beyond. Its activities are based at the Maria and Johannes under the Cross Church in Hoogvliet.
