Welcome to YRE Malta - Young Reporters for the Environment! We are proud representatives of the Foundation for Environmental Education (FEE) in the Maltese Islands since 2002. Our mission is to engage secondary and post-secondary students in resolving environmental problems through investigative reporting and photojournalism. YRE Malta is part of a global network that promotes sustainable development through environmental education.

FEE, a non-governmental, non-profit organization, has designed five programs focusing on Sustainable Development, including YRE. Our goal is to encourage youth to understand local environmental issues and propose solutions. The concept of Young Reporters for the Environment originated in 1991 to address the complex nature of environmental problems and the importance of local behavior in contributing to global issues.
