The Youth Science Institute (YSI) is a renowned 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to promoting a passion for science and fostering a love of learning. With a mission to inspire enthusiasm for scientific exploration, YSI offers a wide range of engaging and hands-on nature-based science education programs for children, families, and the general public. Their comprehensive offerings include School and Group Programs, Summer Science Camps, weekend Science Safaris, and exciting annual community events.

Featuring live animals and nature hikes, these programs bring science to life and provide invaluable learning experiences. Since its establishment in 1953, YSI has positively impacted hundreds of thousands of pre-K to sixth-grade students through its inquiry-based life, physical, earth, and social science curricula. Operating three Science and Nature Centers at Alum Rock Park, Sanborn County Park, and Vasona Lake County Park, YSI offers visitors a unique opportunity to connect with nature while engaging in immersive science education.
