## Description

YubaNet is an online news platform that has been delivering daily news to the Sierra region since its launch in 1999. With a focus on the foothill and mountain communities, YubaNet.com provides valuable information and updates to the local residents. Their newsroom, located in Nevada City, California, overlooks the beautiful South Yuba River, which inspired their name. YubaNet.com covers a wide range of news topics, including regional, California, US, and world news. They gather news and information from various sources, ensuring comprehensive coverage of the Range of Light region. In addition to their original reporting, YubaNet.com welcomes contributions from individuals and organizations within the Sierra community, allowing for a diverse range of perspectives and insights. During wildfire seasons, YubaNet.com specifically tracks significant incidents in the Sierra, California, and nationally through their dedicated Fire News page. They are committed to providing accurate and real-time coverage of these incidents. YubaNet.com is operated by publisher Susan Levitz and editor Pascale Fusshoeller, who are dedicated to delivering informative and reliable news to the Sierra region.
