Yugambeh Museum is dedicated to preserving and promoting the traditional knowledge of the Yugambeh language and culture, which was spoken throughout South East Queensland. As the traditional custodians of the land in the Logan City, Gold Coast, Scenic Rim, and Tweed City regions, the Yugambeh language people have a rich ancestral heritage. The museum's Language and Heritage Research Centre is committed to recording and showcasing the region's traditional knowledge.

Through various cultural and educational initiatives, they bring the community together to ensure future generations have the opportunity to embrace their language, hear their stories, and connect with their Indigenous legacy. Inspired by Yugambeh Elder and Museum Co-Founder Patricia O'Connor, the museum is launching an immersion program to create fluent Yugambeh language speakers, the first cohort in 50 years. They also offer language resources and a shop where you can learn more about Yugambeh culture and language.
