## Description

YYC Hot Chocolate Fest is an annual winter food festival and community fundraiser organized and presented by Calgary Meals on Wheels. Held each February, it brings together cafés, restaurants and chocolatiers across Calgary, with participating vendors creating exclusive hot chocolate beverages for the occasion. Visitors can explore the festival’s list of entries, purchase drinks during vendors’ business hours and submit ratings to help determine the winners.

The event celebrates a range of creations through awards including Best Hot Chocolate, Best Spirited Hot Chocolate, Most Creative Hot Chocolate, Worth the Drive and the Cup That Runneth Over Award. Its website and mobile app help participants find vendors, stay connected and access voting links. The festival also welcomes vendors, sponsors, volunteers and community collaborations.

A portion of each cup sold—between $1 and $3—supports Calgary Meals on Wheels and its work providing affordable, nutritious meals to Calgarians. YYC Hot Chocolate Fest is part of a wider series of community food festivals that also includes YYC Ice Cream Fest and YYC Pizza Fest.
