Global Shapers Calgary is proud to introduce the Green Line Light Rail Transit (LRT), the largest infrastructure project in Calgary's history. This groundbreaking project not only revolutionizes transportation in our city but also plays a vital role in mitigating and adapting to climate change. The Green Line LRT stretches over 46km of track, connecting Seton in the southeast to 160 Avenue north and expanding the LRT system to accommodate over 110 million passengers annually.

Currently, the project is being constructed in stages, with stage 1 extending from 126 Avenue southeast to 16 Avenue north. Thanks to investments from the Government of Canada ($1. 64 billion), Government of Alberta ($1.
