## Description

Z-Code is a scientific software project developed by the Z-Code team, offering tools for analyzing powder diffraction data. Its software supports data from time-of-flight and angle-dispersive neutron diffraction, as well as laboratory and synchrotron X-ray diffraction. The suite brings together methods and utilities used in crystallographic research, including Rietveld and Pawley analysis, Maximum Entropy analysis, Hanawalt analysis, peak searching, indexing, and crystal visualization.

The project currently supplies three main applications for macOS and Windows. Z-Rietveld provides powder diffraction data analysis, including Rietveld, Pawley, and Maximum Entropy methods. Z-3D offers crystallographic visualization, while Conograph supports indexing. The Z-Rietveld code has been substantially reworked, with development environments unified across Macintosh and Windows and a shared framework established for input/output and analysis routines. Its version numbering begins at 3.0.0.

Z-Code provides software downloads, sample data, and quick guides to help users explore its applications. For publications, the project asks users to cite the individual software names: Z-Rietveld, Conograph, and Z-3D.
