## Description

Žabiatko is a children’s swimming centre in Bratislava, Slovakia, with more than 16 years of experience teaching children from three months to eight years old. Its courses introduce children to submerging, breathing and basic swimming skills through playful lessons that respect each child’s pace, needs and readiness. Instructors do not force children underwater or teach signal-based diving, and lessons are taught without arm floats. Small groups of up to five children allow for individual attention, while consistent, certified instructors help children build confidence in the water. Sessions last 40 to 45 minutes and take place in a children-only pool kept at 32–33°C. Since April 2025, the centre has used a saltwater pool system, with water quality supported by UV lamps and continuous monitoring. Families can also use a child-friendly sauna and playroom. Žabiatko aims to make swimming enjoyable while supporting children’s movement skills, independence and positive relationship with water in a calm, respectful environment.
