## Description

Žagarkalns is a winter sports and recreation complex in the Cēsis area of Latvia, offering activities for skiers and snowboarders of different ages and abilities. Its slopes include Žagarkalns, Cīruļkalns, Ofisa trase and Venden Garais kalns, alongside a learning area designed for children and beginners. Families can choose from 12 runs of varying difficulty, while more adventurous visitors can try the Venden Family Fun Park and freestyle park.

The complex places particular emphasis on instruction. Its ski instructors have been developing their teaching experience since 2000, and the site offers individual lessons, a children’s ski school and a snowboard academy, as well as group activities. Visitors can also arrange lift tickets and equipment rental, and make use of the on-site café. For those who do not ski or snowboard, nearby options include walks in Cēsis and the Cīrulīši nature trails, with scenic views along the Gauja valley. Žagarkalns also lists accommodation, including a holiday cottage with a sauna, and provides services for groups and families.
